Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is well-known for her stellar roles in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano earned her numerous awards including an Oscar. She started her career as an actress on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. As a child, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth year production. Her mumps left her deaf and blind in one ear. But she did not allow this hinder her progress as an actor. After studying drama in college and moving in New York City with her goals with her sights set. Hunter met Beth Henley by chance in an lift. Together they composed Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. Her first film role was as an actress who played the main character in Swing Shift. Over the past three decades she's appeared in many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
